Our very first match at the Euro Winners Cup was a great experience for all of our players. Having the first match in the main stadium was a big thing and the team did really well. With some injured players who couldn’t play, the other girls kept fighting until the very last second and finally could win the last third 1:0. We have lost, but we have scored and we have learned a lot.

We got good into the game despite that we have received three goals in the 1st third. Terassa Bonaire is a physically very strong team and small mistakes were punished directly. They could finally add 6 more goals in the 2nd period, so that it was 0:9 after 24 minutes. Our team took their lesson learned out of this third and showed his mental strength. Terassa tried to find some rest in the game, by playing the ball in triangles, but we could continue making pressure to them. This was rewarded by Kelly McShane’s consolation goal.
